There’s only one 1 Lombard Street, and a stunning one at that. Situated in the City, 1 Lombard Street is a low-key, relaxed yet wonderfully inviting and intimate restaurant that prides itself on unique dishes derived from three distinct influences. The head chef – Herbert Berger – is an Austrian, with his native land’s culinary heritage peppered throughout the French and Asian cuisine that forms the backbone of much of the menu.
Fish and seafood lovers are spoilt for choice at 1 Lombard Street, with particular favourites being the exquisite turbot in lobster sauce and the Cornish crab salad with caramelised lobster tail. For dessert, the diet can evidently wait another day as diners devour the Guinness ice cream, the roast pineapple with coconut sorbet and the red pepper and raspberry sable.
